God has gifted us with many talents and blessings so that we might be a blessing. It is the call of discipleship to serve Christ through his work here on earth. All members of the Gloria Dei congregation, youth and friends of this community are encouraged to prayerfully consider what God has called you to do.

Leadership Opportunities

Church Council: The council is made up of 12 members who serve a 3 year term. Council meets monthly and attends Committee Night meetings 6 times a year. Council leads our congregation in policy setting, strategic and long range planning, visioning, oversees financial and human resources and is a liaison to a Discipleship Chair.

Discipleship Chairs: Attend Committee Nights 5times a year and the leadership retreat. They are asked to serve at least a 1 year term but not to exceed 3 years.  Which Team?

COMMUNICATIONS TEAM: Provides information about Gloria Dei to the congregation and community by publicizing in the church newsletter, bulletins, newspapers, and website.

FINANCE TEAM: Responsible for financial and accounting needs of Gloria Dei including budget preparation, stewardship, managing debt, capital campaigns & reviews request for major expenditures.      

SPIRITUAL GIFTS TEAM: Identifies spiritual gifts of individuals and calls them to serve as Council members, Discipleship Chair or ad hoc committee members.  Prepares and distributes the Time and Talent Surveys.

FELLOWSHIP TEAM: Provides fellowship activities.

NURTURING OUTREACH TEAM: Carries out Evangelism Program which seeks members and shepherds them into the congregation.  Oversees the visitor host program.

HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM:

   Responsible for HR policies/procedures, job descriptions, annual reviews, personnel files and Safety & Boundaries requirements

OFFICE HELP: Assist Church Secretary with various tasks:
