SOCIAL MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
The Social Ministries Committee is seeking support for two of our members, Jan and Duane Skavdahl, who are going on a mission trip to China from October 16 to 26th. The mission team will go to an orphanage at Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village near Langfang. Most of the travel expenses have been paid by the members of the team going on the mission; however there is a need for additional funds for items for the children and staff at Shepherd’s Field. Checks should be made to “Montgomery Community Church” (MCC) with the designation “China Trip 2008”. In addition, prayers are requested for the mission and people going on it.
Ben's Box.
You may have noticed a bright yellow box in the hallway. Well this a collection
spot. I am collecting items for several care packages to send to Iraq. I would
love for our youth to help purchase items for this project. Every time you buy
a fun snack, candy, CD, batteries, games or a host of other things, think of
getting two and putting one in Ben's Box. The story of Ben and why we are
collecting things is on the box, so check it out!
