Dear Parents/Guardians,                                                           July 1, 2008

     Hello!  My name is Debbie Bechtol and I am so excited to be the Director for Gloria Dei Lutheran Preschool.  As many of you may remember, last year I taught the older 4's on MWF.  Prior to the 2007-2008 school year, I taught Kindergarten for many years. I know the expectations the schools are demanding for incoming students.  For so many years, our tradition has been to turn out well prepared students cognitively, emotionally, and socially.  I am excited to continue this tradition.

    I have been a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church for the past ten years.  I live in Independence with my husband Jeff and two sons.  Carter attended the Preschool and now will be in 2nd Grade at Summit View Elementary.  Kyle will be in Pre-K this year. 

    Everyday the children bring a smile to my face and remind me of how precious life is and what a wonder the world can be through their eyes.  I look forward to having a successful year with you and your children.  You can rest assured your children will be in good hands with me and my staff.
