How Can I "Plug In" here at Gloria Dei?

We love that you're here and hope you have a rewarding experience and that Gloria Dei can be a part of your faith journey. 

There are many ways that you can join in the many several  areas of worship and service opportunities at Gloria Dei.  It's amazing how your faith can grow if you allow yourself to get involved with and immersed in the fellowship of God's people and taking part in carrying out God's work.

Perhaps the most obvious way to start your faith journey at Gloria Dei is by attending worship services.  There are 4 services every Sunday.  They range from traditional music and liturgy to contemporary music with the praise band to the relaxed Sunday evening service.  Try all of these services.  Each one has it's own unique style and you will have the opportunity to meet many more people and see more that Gloria Dei has to offer.  Click Here for the latest worship schedule.

We would dearly love for you to help with the worship services as well.  There are opportunities to usher, assist with communion, help in the nursery, greet visitors and members, sing with the choir, and help prepare the altar and sanctuary for each service.  This is another great way to meet people, serve God, and find out more about ways you can "plug in" with Gloria Dei.  Click Here  see a description of these and other ways to serve the Lord here at Gloria Dei.

Our kids also need to be plugged in and connected, because this is their church home too. We have Sunday school throughout the school year as well as a week of vacation bible school in the summer.  We also have connections to overnight Christian based camps like Lutheran Hills and Lake Luther.  There are special opportunities for kids to help with services by helping to usher, light candles, acolyte, help with the Christmas program and vacation bible school, attend Sunday School, or sing in the children's choir.  There is even a youth praise band that performs occasionally during the contemporary service.  Perhaps the easiest way to start is by having the help you with an ushering or greeter position.  Click Here to fill out an on-line youth time and talent form.  Our Youth and small groups director does a fabulous job in finding fun activities for all ages. WELCA stands for Women of the Evangelical Church of America and there are a multitude of opportunities to "plug in" with the women's groups at Gloria Dei.  There are 4 different women's "circles", or groups.  Each one has a personality of their own and you are encouraged to try them all!  Click Here to see more details of these dynamic women's groups here at Gloria Dei.
