Phase 1 has been completed

Phase 1 consisted of:

• Conversion of present large conference room into a youth room with computers, high speed internet access, comfortable furniture, and a big screen TV.

• Construction of a sliding wall system to divide 2 rooms out of the south side of the fellowship hall.  These movable walls can retract to form one large fellowship hall.

• Refinishing the sanctuary ceiling

• Repainting the sanctuary

• Refinishing and reupholstering the pews

• Moving the emergency exit doors to the rear of the side walls to add more light and make room at the front of the sanctuary

• Rebuilding the choir risers and praise band stage to make larger areas and better use of the space.

• Adding additional lighting to front of altar area

• Reshaping the communion rail and altar area.

• Adding swinging gates to reclaim communion rail space lost with new sharper angles.

• Replacing sanctuary carpet

• Adding temporary sail-type shading for outdoor service.

• Providing funding for an architectural study for a possible phase 2.

Here are some pictures of the sanctuary renovation in progress.

Organ pipes are covered

Pews are removed and stripped

Scaffolding is used extensively

Altar and Communion rail is reshaped

Old emergency exit is closed off and choir Risers are rebuilt.

Exit doors are relocated

Additional floor repairs

New duct work is added to improve heating and cooling airflow

Pews are stripped, repadded, and reinstalled

The outdoor service continues under the new sun shade

Worship services continue in the fellowship hall as well as outdoors
