Preschool registration for the 2008-09 school year will begin shortly.  If you are interested in touring our Preschool program on either Monday, January 14th at 7:00 p.m. or Wednesday, January 16th at 10:30 a.m., please call our office at 331-1739 to sign up for one of those dates.  We ask that you call and give us your phone number, in case we need to cancel, due to inclement weather.

Registration forms will be available in the church narthex on January 8^th for you to pick up and complete.

In-House, Alumni & Church Member registration forms are due with a registration fee of $40 by January 18^th in the Preschool office.  If you sign up for the Monday 4’s Whole Language class in addition to a regular 4’s class, the registration for that class is $25.

New Families (Public) Registration Process

Thank you for expressing an interest in the registration process for new families. Each year we have a greater demand for classes than we can supply. In order to be fair and avoid lengthy lines, we utilize a lottery for families new to Gloria Dei. Some answers to frequently asked questions follow. We hope this information will acquaint you with our process.

How do we enter the lottery?
Simply complete the application form and enclose your registration check with a stamped self-addressed envelope to Gloria Dei Preschool, 2718 Dixie Highway, Crestview Hills, Ky  41017 ($25 for Whole Language and $40 for 3’s, 4’s & Pre-K classes) postmarked between January 15th and January 25th. Your registration fee will be refunded if you do not get into Gloria Dei Preschool.                                   

How will we be notified?
A list will be posted in the hall of the church narthex (near the preschool entrance doors) by Monday, February 4th listing the names of children placed. As changes do occur over the summer, many children on the Waiting List are placed before fall.  If you have two children registered (i.e. twins or one in a 3's program and one in a 4's program) if one is chosen the other will also be accepted.

What are our chances?
It is difficult to answer this question. In past years, we have been able to place many applicants.  It helps if you are as flexible as possible when choosing classes.  Of the 180 Gloria Dei Preschool students, there is space for 60 students in the 3's program, 70 students in the 4's program, 20 students in the older 4's program, and 30 students in the Pre-K program. The Whole language class is offered only in addition to your child's regular class. There is space for 40 Whole language students. If we are not able to place your child, his or her name will be on the waiting list according to the lottery drawing. Your child's name will remain on the waiting list throughout the 2008-2009 school year.

Gloria Dei Preschool is currently accepting resumes for part-time teachers and aides for the 2008-2009 school year.
