RUTH CIRCLE

Ruth Circle meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the homes of circle members.  Each meeting consists of a devotion, business meeting, food and fellowship.  The main focus of the meetings changes monthly between service projects, shut-in visitations, Bible studies, guest speakers, and fellowship events.   Service projects vary depending on the needs of the church.  Making palm crosses, providing baby clothes for New Hope Crisis Center, providing meals for church events, and working with Dress for Success, are some of the special projects we are involved in.

Ruth Circle Schedule for First Quarter 2012

Our next meeting is February 2nd at Marjorie Mueller's home in Fort Wright.  Duane Skavdahl will lead a historical information/discussion session.  It promises to be filled with "little known" information to appreciate our great country's history.

We are "adopting a deployed troop". We invite everyone to participate. Contact Jan Skavdahl for ways YOU  can help our service men and women.

March 1st is a Bible study lead by Bonnie Handahl at the home of Sue Thornton (Crescent Springs).

March 29 Ruth hosts the Palm Cross making session in the narthex at 7 pm.  Please bring scissors.  Many hands make light work. Refreshments will be served.

April 15, 22 and 29th we will collect business attire for Dress for Success. We need clean, women's business clothing on hangers. Dress purses, dress shoes in good condition, and jewelry appropriate for the business environment are also desired.  The collection lasts ONLY 3 weeks!

New Hope Walk at 0900. Come join in a leisurely one mile walk to raise funds for assisting the unborn, newborn and new mothers.  New Hope also goes into schools to talk about abstinence.

April 29th, we will host a bake sale of which the proceeds go to Dress for Success.
